Project Brief

Founded in 1980, Asian American Media Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting stories that convey the richness and diversity of Asian American experiences to the broadest audience possible. They do this by funding, producing, distributing and exhibiting works in film, television and digital media.

Main Identity

Surrounding the new messaging “Amplifying Asian American Voices,” the updated identity places greater emphasis on the organization's mission and ambitions, rather than relying on Asian visual cultural symbols.

Secondary Identity: Asian American Media Archive (AAARCHIVE) ︎︎︎

The Asian American Media Archive is dedicated to promoting AAMC's extensive historical film archive to the public. To address the challenge of most of the available photos being low-res, I've created a screen texture to enhance their visual appeal.

Printed Materials ︎︎︎

Saturated, neon-like colors have been integrated into AAMC's printed collateral materials.

Digital Applications ︎︎︎

YouTube channel branding is a crucial aspect for AAMC, as it serves as their primary platform for sharing supported films, shorts, online forums, interviews, and more. To ensure it grabs attention on YouTube, I employed bold brand colors and a minimalist layout.
