Scope: Brand Identity

Founded in 1980, the Asian American Media Center (AAMC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the richness and diversity of Asian American stories across film, television, and digital media. Anchored by the new brand platform, “Amplifying Asian American Voices,” the updated identity shifts focus toward the organization’s core mission and ambitions—moving away from surface-level cultural tropes.
Extending this visual system to the Asian American Media Archive (AAARCHIVE), I engineered a bespoke screen texture to elevate low-resolution archival footage, seamlessly transforming technical constraints into a distinct visual asset.

Spacial Design

AAMC's environmental signage design draws from key brand visuals, incorporating spotlight/projector shapes and the TV screen scan effect in imagery and portraits. Additionally, the system utilizes modular negative-space panels, allowing for easy assembly while optimizing cost efficiency—an essential consideration for AAMC as a non-profit organization.
